A new 3 star hotel, located in the heart of Athens, Joker hotel is a great base for touring the city. It is close to all major tourist attractions, and shopping and restaurant facilities. Further, as it is centrally based, it is simple to travel to any part of Athens just steps away from the hotel. The port of Pireus and the Athens international airport are easy to reach from the hotel.Just ask our friendly staff to guide you to the nearby Subway staxion. The variety of room types (including actuat quadruple and quintuple rooms) make it also an excellent choice for families, couples and business trips. All the rooms are well decorated, clean and welcome you to relax and enjoy your stay. The hotel has a warm and friendly restaurant offering a variety of plates representative of Greek and Balcanian cuisine. The area is shady at night, but we didn't feel we were in danger. The morning and daytime were wonderful. The hotel looks a little rough on the outside, but the rooms were very clean and the staff was very helpful, though communicating didn't come easy.

If you are intending to use this hotel as a base to tour Athens, then it serves its purpose. The rooms I ordered for our party of 10 were booked as double rooms, though upon arrival we were given twin rooms & triple room. The shower in my particular room hadn't progressed much since the 70's. Boiling hot or freezing cold, no in between. The hotel staff were very friendly & the cleaners were very thorough in their job. Another quick tip, watch out for the elevators !! Great fun if you like fun park rides, but if you don't like using them, I reccommend the stairs instead.

The location of the hotel was in a very very rough area, the square directly outside was full of people sleeping rough and drinking. It was dangerous at night time. The room was basic, but the bathroom and shower was from the 1950s, could certainly do with being refreshed.

Wahrscheinlich darf man sich für den Preis auch wirklich nicht mehr erwarten, aber ich würde dort nicht mehr übernachten wollen. Die Zimmer sind laut (interner Lärm, kein Straßenlärm) und abgewohnt. Wir hatten zwei Zimmer und in einem davon war das Badezimmer überschwemmt (zum Glück bekamen wir aber am nächsten Tag ein nicht überschwemmtes Zimmer) und im anderen waren die Sanitären Einrichtungen auch unter jeder Kritik. Zugute halten muss man, dass die Betten sauber waren und das Frühstück für die Verhältnisse eigentlich gar nicht so schlecht war. Für meine Begriffe eine Katastrophe ist aber die Umgebung des Hotels. Braucht man jedoch einfach nur ein sauberes Bett für die Nacht und hat einen tiefen Schlaf ist es sicher ein super billiges Hotel.

But prices respected and as we got quiet rooms (they gave two rooms instead of the large family room booked) we could sleep without any problem. Borough a bit surprising and (for girls) don't stay out late in the night.

Es war eine interessante Ecke von Athen mit vielen illegalen Strassenhändlern ,die aber nicht lästig waren.

Für eine Nacht ist das Hotel ok. Allerdings wird auf Kundenwünsche nicht so eingegangen wie es nötig sein sollte. Per Mail haben wir unsere Spätankunft angekündigt (kein Problem) und auch angegeben, dass wir sehr früh (05:00 Uhr) das Hotel am nächsten Morgen verlassen werden. Wir fragten nach, ob es möglich ist, ein einfaches frühes Frühstück oder zum Mitnehmen bekommen könnten. Laut Mail wäre das kein Problem. Die Realität sah anders aus; der Nachtportier wies nur auf die offizielle Frühstückszeit (ab 07:30 Uhr) hin. Somit haben wir dann also das Hotel am Morgen ohne Frühstück verlassen.
